LINEAGE
Established as 3280th Technical Training Group and activated on April 30, 1976. Redesignated: 3280th Technical Training Squadron on Feb. 1, 1992; 343rd Technical Training Squadron on Sept. 15, 1992; and 343rd Training Squadron on April 1, 1994.

EMBLEM
Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The disc is divided White and Blue denoting the continuous day and night operations of the squadron. The swords reflect the courage and brotherhood of unit members. The torch reflects the quest for knowledge. The chain represents strength and steadfast loyalty. The scale symbolizes the search for truth and fairness. The red border indicates the valor of unit personnel in the face of danger. Approved on Sept. 16, 1976; modified on July 20, 1995.
