JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – For the sixth year, Operation Family Feast is giving community members the chance to celebrate their Thanksgiving Day with students in technical training across Joint Base San Antonio.

Host families, who must be a Department of Defense ID cardholder, can host two or four students and will need to pick them up between 10 to 11 a.m. and drop them off at their dorms by 9 p.m.

Pick up location:

Lackland Bob Hope Theater

1560 Stewart St., Bldg 5408

JBSA-Lackland, TX 78236

Operation Family Feast is not the same event as Operation Home Cooking. Operation Family Feast is for students in technical training and Operation Home Cooking is for Airmen in Basic Military Training.

Additionally, families who host Airmen in BMT may not host students in technical training. It is against the 37th Training Wing policy for BMT and tech training Airmen to co-mingle.

Instructions to sign up:

The deadline to sign up is Nov. 18.
