Chief Master Sergeant David Pantojas is the Superintendent, Inter-American Air Forces Academy (IAAFA), Lackland AFB, Texas. Chief Pantojas is the senior enlisted leader responsible for leading a selectively manned bilingual squadron responsible for the professional and technical development, training, education, and military readiness of over 900 Latin-American (LATAM) Military and Civilian students annually. He is charged with engaging and building partner nation capacity. He also leads the IAAFA during LATAM Senior Enlisted Leader engagement opportunities, providing leadership to Senior Non-Commissioned Officers from 21 LATAM nations.
Chief Pantojas is from Cayey, Puerto Rico and entered the Air Force in July 1989. Upon completion of basic training, he attended Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist technical training at Lowery AFB, Colorado. His duty assignments have included RAF Bentwaters, United Kingdom, Moody AFB, Georgia, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, Cannon AFB, New Mexico, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea and Lackland AFB, Texas. Throughout his career Chief Pantojas has held many challenging leadership positions and has deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm, Operation Northern Watch, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
