During a four-day course squadron commanders, directors and superintendents from across the Air Force gained an in-depth understanding of AFPC programs and processes for talent management and care for Airmen and families. Leaders participated in the Enlisted Force Distribution Panel exercise, May 14, 2019. The exercise involved leadership reviewing, discussing and rating Airmen’s records for promotion. The full-scale Basic Military Training Graduation Parade is the only military graduation incorporated into Fiesta San Antonio, the city's 10-day celebration to honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. Over the past century, Fiesta has grown into a celebration of San Antonio's rich and diverse cultures. Military representatives from throughout San Antonio participate in receptions, parades, pilgrimages and memorials.

Gerardo Marquez Jr., 837th Training Squadron superintendent navigates an obstacle during the 37th Training Wing bivouac exercise Feb. 13, 2019, Joint Base San Antonio Lackland-Medina Annex, Texas. Over the course of the exercise, participants practiced weapons handling, self-aid buddy care, and dismounted patrol missions, while demonstrating their ability to survive and operate in a hostile environment. To cap off the event, exercise participants completed the CLAW obstacle course.
