Chief Master Sergeant Sean Scavetta is the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 37th Training Group aligned under the 37th Training Wing at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. He is the principal advisor to the commander and senior staff for the professional and technical training of more than 26,000 military and civilian students in the armed forces, international community and other Federal agencies. Training subjects include security forces, combat arms, recruiting, services, TEMPEST, safety, logistics, contracting, centrifuge training and the enlisted aircrew undergraduate course. The 37 TRG is also the sole training agency for Federal and Department of Defense Military Working Dogs and handlers. The group has more than 875 personnel, 180 facilities and equipment valued at more than $100 million.
CMSgt Scavetta entered in the Air Force in February 2001. He graduated from Services technical training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas in June 2001. His background includes duty positions in Fitness, Food Services, Services Combat Training Instructor, Contingency Skills Instructor, Protocol NCO, Additional Duty First Sergeant, Expeditionary Operations Group SEL and headquarters level. His assignments included bases in Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Japan, and Montana. He has deployed multiple times in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, FREEDOM SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE and SPARTAN SHIELD.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader, Installation Support Directorate, Air Force Services Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.
