Colonel Dustin M. Hart

Col. Hart is the Commander of the 637th Training Group, and the Commandant, Defense Language Institute English Language Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. Hart is responsible for an on-campus program comprised of military and civilian leaders from more than 110 countries as well as more than 30 non-resident locations around the world. DLIELC is the Gateway to America for international students and provides a comprehensive American cultural immersive experience, building security cooperation capability for more than 3,500 students annually. The 637th Training Group provides English language training to international military and civilian personnel in addition to the U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard’s pre-Basic Combat Training trainees. DLIELC fosters English language proficiency on campus and worldwide, strengthening alliances, partnerships and meaningful enhanced interoperability.

Col. Hart graduated with honors from University of Florida in 2002 and was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. He is a career Public Affairs Officer, serving in PA assignments at the wing, numbered air force, major command and combatant command levels. Additionally, he has served as the commander of the 341st Recruiting Squadron and the PA Assignments Officer at the Air Force Personnel Center, JBSA-Randolph, Texas.

Prior to his current position, Col. Hart was the Director of Public Affairs, Headquarters, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va.
