JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Air Education and Training Command is promoting participation in its #RiseUpAETC campaign to highlight positive stories of Airmen, their loved ones and other members of the community stepping up in the current fight against COVID-19 to support one-another and the AETC mission.

“The Airmen of AETC don’t back down to a challenge; we rise up,” said Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, commander of AETC. “And that’s exactly what I have been seeing over the past several weeks as Airmen across the First Command are adapting, innovating and overcoming challenges during our current fight against COVID-19.”

Through the campaign, the AETC Command Team is seeking positive stories from all members of the AETC community, depicting what the fight against COVID-19 looks like for them. Participants can submit their own stories or can describe the efforts of someone they would like to recognize.

“There are so many incredible stories we are already hearing about individuals and units across AETC stepping up, yet I know that each and every member of our community has a story of adapting and overcoming during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said AETC Command Chief Master Sgt. Julie Gudgel. “Whether you are serving on the front lines or overcoming challenges while working from home, I want to encourage you to share your story with us so we can recognize your extraordinary efforts.”

AETC Airmen, families, community members and all others supporting the AETC mission are welcome to participate in the #RiseUpAETC campaign. All participants are encouraged to keep operational security in mind when posting, and are reminded to follow local guidance regarding the wearing of face coverings or other personal protective equipment, or PPE.

Participation is easy:
