BASIC TRAINEE DIES DURING TRAINING Published Feb. 22, 2014 37th Training Wing JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO - LACKLAND, Texas -- Air Force trainee Terron J. Moore died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday evening after collapsing during physical training at Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland. Following his collapse, Moore was transported to Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio just after 5 p.m. where doctors were unable to save him. "This is a tragic event and the men and women of the 37th Training Wing are grieving the loss of a fellow Airman," said Col. Mark Camerer, 37th Training Wing commander. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very difficult time." The cause of death is under investigation. Grief counselors and Chaplains have been made available to Trainee Moore's flight mates and instructors.
