MWD monument; one family's story of connection, remembrance

A image taken in World War II of a handler with his dog was part of a collection that create a montage that is etched onto the face of the Military Working Dog Teams’ National Monument which was revealed Oct. 28, 2013 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The Department of Defense Military Working Dog Program is the world’s largest training center for military dogs and handlers and it is located at JBSA-Lackland along with the largest veterinary hospital for military dogs.
