  • SECDEF witnesses transformation, protection of citizens becoming Airmen at BMT during COVID-19

    U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper visited U.S. Air Force basic military training cadre and recruits, as well as members of the Air Force Recruiting Service, for a first-hand look at how the service transforms citizens into American Airmen here June 16, 2020. Esper, accompanied on the visit by the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Ramón Colón-López, observed how the 37th Training Wing, with the support of a tri-wing partnership with the 502nd Air Base Wing and 59th Medical Wing, has protected Airmen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • New Spouse Orientation – For Spouses, By Spouses

    Welcome to the Air Force family! We are excited for you and your next chapter of your Air Force journey. Under normal circumstances, the key spouses from the 737th Training Group (TRG) hold a weekly briefing before the Coin Ceremony (also known as Retreat). The briefing is especially for fiancés and spouses of graduating airmen. As you know, the rapidly changing COVID-19 pandemic has suspended our normal ceremonies. However, the 737th TRG key spouses still wanted to reach out to our new Air Force spouses, answer your most frequently asked questions, and provide you with what resources are available to Air Force families. Our goal at each week’s briefing is to make sure new spouses feel welcomed, appreciated and connected. We hope the information below is helpful to you! 
  • First BMT trainees experience M-4 training and qualification

    Members of the 37th Training Support Squadron Combat Weapons Flight reopened the newly renovated Combat Arms Training Range at the JBSA-Lackland Medina Training Annex July 8, 2019.BMT trainees were the first to experience M-4 carbine Weapons Familiarization Course at the range, which closed in November 2018, due to improper rainwater drainage.
