    JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – Three military training instructors from the 737th Training Group are featured in a series of videos highlighting the invaluable contributions of force generators. MTIs, along with military training leaders, instructor pilots, Squadron Officer School instructors, technical training instructors and recruiters, are all force generators – members in special duty assignments who help lay the foundation for tomorrow’s Airmen and Guardians.

    Ten Military Training Instructors from the 37th Training Wing donned legacy Air Force uniforms, dating from 1947 to the present, as they posed for a photographer at the Airman Heritage Museum on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland June 24 to help create a new mural to decorate the walls of the Military Training Instructor Schoolhouse.

    U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper visited U.S. Air Force basic military training cadre and recruits, as well as members of the Air Force Recruiting Service, for a first-hand look at how the service transforms citizens into American Airmen here June 16, 2020. Esper, accompanied on the visit by the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Ramón Colón-López, observed how the 37th Training Wing, with the support of a tri-wing partnership with the 502nd Air Base Wing and 59th Medical Wing, has protected Airmen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • BMT Safety Mitigation Efforts Protect Trainers and Pipeline

    To help slow the spread of COVID-19 while accomplishing the mission of turning civilians into mission-ready Airmen, U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training here has implemented layers of protective measures to mitigate transmission risk of the virus within the BMT pipeline. Specific mitigation measures that have been implemented across BMT include implementation of a 14-day restriction of movement (ROM) upon arrival, as well as social distancing, symptom monitoring, and increased sanitation.
