• CSAF and CMSAF inspire and engage at Gateway wing before Thanksgiving

    JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – Just ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Chief of Staff of the Air Force General David W. Allvin made his first visit to the Gateway Wing, marking the occasion by presiding over the oath of enlistment for 756 graduating Airmen.

  • Department of the Air Force pushes fitness testing to Jan. 1

    To continue minimizing close contact among personnel during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and ensure units and personnel are fully ready to resume, testing has been delayed from October to January, and testing in January will move forward without obtaining waist, height and weight measurements.

  • Gen. Brown formally installed as 22nd Air Force Chief of Staff

    Proclaiming himself “proud, yet humbled,” Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr. was officially installed Aug. 6 as the Air Force’s 22nd Chief of Staff, becoming the first African American in history to lead a military service as its highest ranking officer.
