New squadron activates within the 37th Training Wing
Lt. Col. Christianne Opresko (right), takes the guidon from Col. John Goodson (left), 37th Training Group commander, during the 342nd Training Squadron activation ceremony at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Aug. 1. Opresko is the 324 TRS’s first commander. The squadron provides aerospace physiology training for officers and technicians, providing initial and refresher training for all aircrew, and acceleration training for all fighter aircrew. The 342 TRS is one of six squadrons in the 37 TRG, headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, which is responsible for professional and technical training for more than 36,000 personnel yearly.

Spring 2023 Invitational Drill Down
37th Training Wing Command Chief, Mike Morgan, calls out facing movements during the Spring 2023 Invitational Drill Down, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, Mar. 11. Teams from the 81st Training Wing at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.; 17 TRW at Goodfellow AFB, Texas, 82 TRW at Sheppard AFB, Texas, the 59 Medical Training Group at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas; and the 37 TRW participated. The teams performed a precision drill and exhibition routine. The event also featured a performance from the Fredericksburg High School Red Hotts dance team, the 341st Military Working Dogs and the University of Texas San Antonio Reserve Officer Training Corps presented the colors. The 82 TRW was awarded first place overall, followed by the 37 TRW placing second and the 81 TRW placed third.
