  • Defenders welcome new commander

    Maj. Cody Elliott handed over the reigns as 14th Security Forces Squadron commander to Maj. Michael Olson, during a change of command ceremony, June 7, 2021, on Columbus Air Force Base, Miss.
  • Deploying pride in the mission

    A unit deployment manager is responsible for educating the unit on its expeditionary role, ensuring personnel and equipment are ready to deploy and support contingency operations required by their unit. The 81st Security Forces Squadron takes pride in Staff Sgt. Lane Sanchez, 81st SFS unit deployment manager, who coordinates unit deployments with the Air Expeditionary Force Center, Air Education and Training Command, Security Forces Contingency Branch.
  • 97 SFS receives female body armor

    Female Airmen of the 97th Security Forces Squadron received the first batch of newly created and issued Female Body Armor, in early March 2021. The FBA features increased mobility, load carriage support, and comfort while still maintaining coverage of vital organs. The new armor is one of the Air Force Chief of Staff’s initiatives and was created by the Female Fitment Program Office. Their mission is to identify problems and quickly find solutions for gear and uniform items to better equip female Airmen.
  • 343rd TRS Airmen soar in joint air operations

    JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-CAMP BULLIS, Texas – Airmen from the 343rd Training Squadron/Operating Location-A teamed with National Guard Soldiers and Air Force Reservists to strengthen their warfighting skills and joint partnerships with a medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) exercise Jan. 9 and a sling load exercise Jan. 27.
