'After Basic' live discussion show
A live social media after show focused on reflecting on and discussing the Air Force Recruiting Service’s new docuseries ‘Basic’ is set to debut on the Air Education and Training Command Facebook page Thursday, Nov. 11, at 7:45 p.m. central time. ‘After Basic’ will air each Thursday at 7:45 p.m. and feature guests from the docuseries and behind the scenes subject matter experts to offer additional insight and information on the events from each episode. Program participants receive self-paced ground training, approximately eight flight hours in a Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182 Skylane, and additional training in FAA-certified simulators—helping them become more competitive for rated selection boards. Air Force readdresses women’s hair standard after feedback
The Air Force revises Air Force Instruction 36-2903 to address differences in hair density and texture June 25, 2021. When hair is secured behind the head, the hair may extend six inches to the left and to the right and six inches protruding from the point where the hair is gathered.
